The Ghana FA has handed $30,000 to
Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak ahead of their CAF Inter-club
matches this weekend, DailySoccerGhana .com can exclusively report.
Kotoko will rely on the cash boost to offset the hotel accommodation
expenses and flight ticket costs as they face Algerian club MC El Eulma
at the 25,000 seater Stade Messaoud Zougar on Saturday.
On the
other hand, Hearts will use their share of the money to fund winning
bonuses and match organizational expenses as they host Senegalese outfit
Olympique de Ngor at the Accra Stadium on Sunday.
Both Kotoko
and Hearts are eager to reach the group stage in their respective
competitions to restore Ghana’s two slots, which were lost as a result
of the recent poor performance of the nation in CAF Inter-club
competitions.
