PROMOTION RULES
1. The Promotion is open to ALL MTN Prepaid customers including Akwaaba customers
2. Post-paid customers are excluded from this Promotion.
3. Every recharge of GHC1.00 is equivalent to 10 points
4. Every 0.01 pesewa usage is equivalent to 1 point.
5. At the beginning of the Promotion, all customers will be sent a notification indicating their threshold / target (in points). This will remain unchanged throughout the Promotion period.
6. In addition, periodic (monthly) notifications shall be sent to inform customers who have reached 90% of their assigned thresholds.
7. Customers will also get the opportunity to check their accrued points via the balance check short code *120# (USSD)
8. Usage of Free airtime (bonus airtime as well as Extra Time) will not form part of customers spend for the month for purposes of this Promotion.
9. A customer is entitled to only one prize reward in a defined prize category during the Promotion period. Thus, if a customer wins a prize in one category in month one and wins the same prize in month two, the prize for month two will be given to the next highest point earner who has not won in that prize category. This rule applies to House and Car categories only and excludes Devices, Televisions and Airtime.
10. All bundle / package purchases will be included and allocated points upfront. For example, Black-Berry GHC40 subscription will be allocated the corresponding points
11. In case of a tie, priority shall be given to customers with a longer tenure.
Where there is a tie in tenure, three months ARPU (Average Revenue per User) prior to the Promotion month shall be used to select winner.
12. MTN Staff and their spouses are exempted from this promo.
13. Selected winners need to be validated by BRM & RA (Business Risk Management and Revenue Assurance) before invitation is sent to deserving customers.
14. Customer threshold is subject to MTN Ghana’s definition and cannot be challenged.
15. Winners shall be given a two week notification to claim their prizes or indicate interest in their prizes. In the event that the winners selected are not available to claim their prizes, the prizes shall be allocated to the next customer within the category in order of rank.
16. Winners will be notified only by MTN authorised personnel and via the number 0244 300000.
17. MTN reserves the right to disqualify a winner when it is proven that the winner used any fraudulent means to participate in the Promotion.
18. To qualify as a Winner and be entitled to the prize thereof, a winner must own the SIM card used to participate in the promotion and it must be validly registered in his or her name.
19. Brand usage (Voice, SMS & Data) while roaming outside Ghana will not accrue points.
